Samuel Bledsoe is a native of Los Angeles, California. He attended and graduated from JC Fremont High School in Los Angeles. Further education included Southwest Community College and California State College of Los Angeles.
Samuel worked and retired from United Parcel Service, after 30 years of employment. He held many positions while at UPS. He held a position as a loader and sorter in the local distribution center. He was promoted to Supervisor in the Operations Dept. He spent time as a Human Resource employment representative and held assignments in the Industrial Engineering Dept. He was promoted to Package Delivery Manager. There he was responsible for supervising UPS Drivers and their deliveries. He also held an assignment as a teacher and coordinator of UPS’s Part Time Supervisor Basic Training School, teaching management skills and techniques. There was also an assignment to the District’s Congressional Contact Team.
Samuel has been a member of Concerned Black Men since 2010. He is currently Secretary of CBMLA Board of Directors. Active in CBMLA Program’s Welcome to Manhood and CBM Cares Program. He also a serves a delegate to CBM National .
He has received awards as Manager of the Quarter UPS Package Division 1994 and CBMLA Mentor of the Year for 2013.
Hobbies include: fishing; following local sport teams; gardening; exercising; computers; and spending time with his grandchildren.
